Mark Edwards has been in education for over 35 years and has used puppets
throughout his time as an educator. After being inspired through a Noda summer
school course he has for the last 10 years developed puppet workshops for young
people and adults. Amassing a collection of over 150 different sorts of puppets.
So many productions now use puppets and the courses he leads helps artists bring
puppets to life, maintain a realistic presence and enable the audience to suspend
their disbelief and focus solely on the puppet. All done in a friendly and supportive
way ensuring puppeteers remain comfortable, gain confidence and most importantly
have fun!

For the last 20 years he has directed musicals for a number of local amateur operatic
societies. Run workshops for young people and adults. 2024 see him direct a
production of Avenue Q.
